Edmarie Medina, Esq.

Immigration Attorney

Edmarie Medina De Jesus is an immigration attorney with a focus on complex litigation, client-focused advocacy coupled with legal knowledge and skill. From her early days as a law student, Edmarie Medina has always been committed to representing those whose voices have been silenced. Whether it's standing up against discrimination or fighting for justice, Edmarie is determined to make a difference. As part of her pro bono work, Edmarie Medina has spoken at events to raise awareness of a variety of human rights issues. As a lawyer, Edmarie Medina represents her clients in a wide variety of legal proceedings, including court proceedings, removal proceedings before ICE, and asylum interviews. Edmarie Medina has a passion for helping immigrants through the complex visa and citizenship process that is evident in her commitment to each case.

Edmarie Medina graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University school of law. Edmarie worked as a criminal and civil lawyer in the beginning of her career and worked Pro bono with the Human Civil Commission Rights of Puerto Rico. During the aftermath of the 2020 earthquakes, she also supported Puerto Ricans who faced discrimination in shelters. Due to her passion for advocating for people's rights and helping them, she began working as an Immigration Attorney in Orlando, Florida.

Among Edmarie Medina's areas of experience are Immigration Law, Criminal Litigation, work with victims of domestic violence, Civil Litigation, which includes family law, wills, and Human Rights.

Edmarie Medina has a bachelor’s degree in Criminology and a minor in Criminal Research from the Pontifical Catholic University of Mayaguez Puerto Rico. She graduated in December of the year 2017. After graduating from her bachelor, she obtain a Juris Doctor of Law at the Pontifical Catholic University School of Law in Ponce Puerto Rico. She graduated in December of 2022.

In her early college year, Edmarie Medina was a member of the Criminology Association from August 2015 to December 2016. While in law school she belongs to the Immigration Association from August of 2019 to May of 2020. She also belongs to the PHI KAPPA PHI an Honor Society that recognizes and encourages scholarships without restriction as to the area of study. Edmarie has belonged to this Honor Society from January 2017 to the present. Additionally, Edmarie Medina is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association from July 2022 to the present.

Edmarie Medina has been awarded academic excellence in 2015, 2016, and 2017, Edmarie also received the Presidential Medal for Excellence, which recognizes the student with the highest grade at the university. A medal of excellence was awarded to her in 2016 and 2017 for being the highest-grade student in her department.

Edmarie Medina was admitted to practice law by the Bar of the commonwealth of Puerto Rico in the Year 2022. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Beginner level at Italian.
