Ms. Junie Lamour was born and raised in Haiti; she migrated to the United States at the age of 17 with her family to pursue the American Dream. She graduated Cum Laude from Florida International University with her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. After that, she earned her Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law.
During her time in Law school, Ms. Lamour was elected and served as the President of the Immigration Law Organization and as Vice President of the Christian Legal Fellowship Society. Ms. Lamour was a Junior Associate of the ILSA Journal of International and Comparative Law. In her last year of law school, Ms. Lamour interned at the NSU Children and Families Law Clinic and at Catholic Legal Services Archdiocese of Miami, where she assisted indigent clients in family and immigration matters.
During her law school career, Ms. Lamour earned several prestigious awards, including the Florida Bar Foundation and the Ovid and Clare Lewis Public Interest Fellowship.
As an immigrant herself, Ms. Lamour understands the hurdles and challenges that immigrants face daily, and she diligently works and with immigrant families in pursuing their dreams. Ms. Lamour has successfully represented hundreds of clients before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services and Immigration Court in diverse matters, including family-based petitions, Adjustment of Status, VAWA, waivers, Asylum, Naturalizations, Consular processing.
Ms. Lamour has a strong work ethic and brings empathy and compassion to her client interactions.
Ms. Lamour is licensed to practice in the State of Florida and is fluent in English, Spanish, Creole, and French.
