Mr. James Burton is a law graduate of Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, FL, and an undergraduate of legal studies at the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL. Mr. Burton has over 13 years of experience in the legal profession, over 24 jury trials, and experience representing hundreds of clients facing criminal charges.

Before joining Alex Hanna Law, Mr. Burton honed his skills as a criminal defense attorney doing indigent criminal defense in Jacksonville, FL, where he represented hundreds of clients facing charges ranging from county ordinance violations to punishable-by-life felonies.

Mr. Burton expanded those skills serving a diverse community and adapting to a multi-county practice. Mr. Burton believes in second chances and fights daily to obtain the best possible outcome for his clients.

To serve this community, Mr. Burton continues to develop his language skills and is constantly learning a new language.

Mr. Burton is licensed to practice in the State of Florida. He speaks English, Spanish, French and has recently begun studying Kreyol.
