Penalties For Cocaine Trafficking In Florida

Trafficking cocaine includes knowingly selling, buying, or manufacturing cocaine (more than 28 grams) or bringing cocaine into Florida for similar purposes. Cocaine trafficking is a first-degree felony. Offenders can face up to 30 years in prison.

  • A cocaine offense involving an amount between 28 and 200 grams may carry a mandatory minimum of three years in prison and a fine of up to $50,000.
  • A cocaine offense involving an amount between 200 and 400 grams may carry a mandatory minimum of seven years in prison, and a fine of up to $100,000.
  • A cocaine offense involving an amount of 400 grams or more may carry a mandatory minimum of 15 years in prison, and a fine of up to $250,000.
